Pepipost APIs use an
api_key header to provide authentication of the requests. We assign a unique API key to each account, which needs to be available in ‘api_key’ header for requests to be processed.
The header name and value are case insensitive.
In case you execute a request without a header or with an incorrect/empty value, you will receive an HTTP Response [401 (Unauthorized)]. You might receive other error codes based on the nature of the error.
How to get your API Key
- Login to your Pepipost account.
- Go to the Integration page under Settings menu and click on the API tab.
- The API Key is hidden for security purpose. Click Show. System will prompt you to enter your account password. Once you enter the password, the API key will be accessible.
Make sure to store your API keys somewhere secure and never share them publicly.
